N5 remote not working

Hi, I recently purchased the nexus N5. As it's an expensive cam I thought id spend a little more and get the remote.

I did manage to get the remote working however I've now had the cams hardwired in and remote not doing anything.

Please help

What setting would activate it.
When it first arrived I had it working fine.
Then I put dashcam Hardwire into car and now it won't connect.

I will try removing battery again today and put back in while car running and hopefully it picks up the connection again. Not end of world as it's all voice activated but I did pay for it so wouldn't mind it to work.
