Mtz, the cable davidhilldallas now has is the right cable. It requires a 3 pole connector (ground/video/audio). The 4 pole connector you specified wont work. I took the camera apart when I got it and the socket is 3 pole not 4 pole. The issue he now sees is due to the firmware.

OK, I understand, but as I already wrote, my pictures were only to show which is the first pin. I could wrote only „be sure the first pin is the ground” but without picture people don't know which one is the first pin.
The original Livue have 4 pins so that was the reason I showed pictures with 4 pins.

i have the same dvr and question as David, nowi confuse whether it use 2.5mm or 3.5mm plug? i tried several cord and no luck so far. What the heck!
