I still use the Thieye T5e all these years later. It has stood the test of time for my needs. 😃
Was surprised you found this and indeed they are the last firmware upgrades issued for the T5e. Upgrade UN7_180601_V5.1 added an option I wanted. You can get a mouthpiece to attach the camera to for filming hands free. Shoulder or head mount straps are OK but this is gives direction changes. which is great for surfing but obviously the image is upside down needing correction in post editing. Here is the Version V5.1 change log. Seems the only Amberella A12 based firmware with the "rule of thirds" grid by Sunco Electronic Co I've seen. .

Upgrade:

1. Update the UI , More user-friendly interface

2. Update voice module that support T5/T5e with or without External Microphone port

3. Add Image Rotation

4. Add a grid Display Option , provide a way to use the "rule of thirds"

5. Delete useless Video resolution 2880*2160 30P 4:3, 2704*1520 30P 16:9,1920*1440 60P 4:3,1920*1440 30P 4:3,1920*1080 100P 16:9,1920*1080 30P SuperView,1280*960 120P 16:9,1280*960 60P 16:9,1280*960 30P 16:9,1280*720 200P 16:9

6. Delete useless Photo resolution 14M£¨3M , change 8.3M to 8M

7. Delete self-timer Option 2 Seconds and 3 Seconds

8. Delete looping record option 2 Minutes

9. Fix the Playback Photo display issue by HDMI Output


(This Firmware only support the new remote control, include REMO and VOCO)
