Okay, so technology marches on, and that 8 year old obsolete dashcam in your car has been replaced with a new state of the art wonder-unit. So, what do you do with that old $500.00 dollar unit that cannot compare? Have you purchased something like this...

... and retasked it for other things? If so, what? Does it watch your 3D printer? Does it watch your front door from a window when you are on vacation? What uses if any have you tasked it for, or did you simply throw it away?

I second VR.
My problem being, i have very little family i see ( little sister and her 3 kids who not really interested in having a dashcam ) and then my 1 friend, so hard for me even to give stuff away.

I would not like giving to strangers, CUZ i know people, hence why i hang around so few of them.

I configured a pair of Mobius cameras with varifocal lenses for my wife to monitor inside her glass-fusing kiln. I have used another one to watch birds visiting a garden feeder. However those are multi-purpose cameras so they can be used in many ways.

I once used an A139 Pro on a tripod to try and video a meteor shower. I think it only captured one meteor.

I tend to give them away to friends or family who don’t have any dashcams. Even older ones are better than nothing.

Incidentally, I just rounded up a bunch to do a bigger giveaway online.

I think teardown videos will be interesting for users and will allow to compare different cameras components and assembly methods in terms of reliability, etc.
It will also help users to disassemble their cameras for minor repairs, if necessary.
I don't remember seeing many videos of dash cam teardowns.
As kids, we loved taking things apart to see what was inside, didn't we?
Some of us still do. 😉

For example, a few interesting tear-down videos of Ecoflow River 2 are available on YouTube.
