I see NEXTBASE has a small battery (Lithium, 3.7v) specifically for Parking mode.
So the way I see it the Dash cam needs the following supply connections 0v, +12v switched from the car (eg cigarette lighter) and Parking mode battery connection.

Q1)Does any have a diagram of how the Parking mode battery is connected to the Dash Cam (either a switch in which case a hole needs to be drilled or another lead that replaces the 0v and +12v feed lead)?

Q2) When in parking mode if the camera gets a shake does RECORD (write to SD Card) eg 10 seconds BEFORE the shake and eg 20 seconds after the shake?

Thanks,
Harry

Hi and Welcome to the forums!

For your first question, forum member @GPak drew up a nice diagram that "works" for just about every kind of parking mode battery out there. There will be some differences in the type of wire connectors, etc, but if you view this as a more generic "block" diagram, you should get the idea.

The post with a nice diagram can be found here:

For your second question, this very much depends on the specific of which dashcam you choose. I am not certain that there is a "standard" behavior here. I suspect others with more experience here will chime in.
