NextbaseGW322 won’t hold charge or power on in car

This units one year old. It works if plugged into mains, but won’t remain on if unplugged ( even after a few hours and blue light is out).
When plugged into car it turns on for one or two seconds then dies. Presume battery has died but that doesn’t explain why it won’t work when plugged into car?

Sounds like the car power source isn't supplying enough power

If your using a power socket adapter, make sure it's making good contact and is delivering at least 1.5A
