Non adhesive mount for S1 4K

Well, my family is from Texas, and it does get hotter than the hinges of Hell there. I can envision the right situation where the adhesion would bubble and let the camera drop. However, I do not recall reading more than a few complaints from people (various websites - any brand dashcam) in Texas with this issue. Though it can happen. Since ceramic tint could reduce the IFR up to 80 or 85 percent, I would think that heat is not the issue since the windshield has ceramic tint.

Some foamy glass cleaners leave a residue on the glass and if that area is not then wiped with alcohol, a pad might not stick for very long.

Texas is hot, but I can't speak to having a dashcam mounted on a windshield there with 3M VHB adhesive. I would imagine that very hot temperatures could loosen the bond over time, especially with poor prep. However, if the camera is prepped right, it should last quite a while before needing affixed again. Also, it helps to avoid parking in the direct sunlight to avoid cooking your windshield.
