I didn't notice the yellow tone until I compared it to the Roav. Do these cameras use the same Sony sensors? See the images from Roav and A119S. I have the SpyTec version. Actually got the A119S to replace the Roav because the Roav has no loop option other than the default 3min and it would intermittently beep and restart the recording. Would the new firmware fix this issue?

Definitely, just look at the traffic sign above the BMW in the third pair of pictures and it's obvious.

Color balance aside, the A119S provides much better shadow detail. Given the choice, I'd opt for the Viofo.

Still can't decide if it's just me or the A119S image is a bit soft or the Roav is oversharpened. My eyes prefer the sharpness of the Roav? Is it just me? Got the A119S to replace the Roav because of the overwhelming positive comments on the image quality. Really like the convenience of wifi transfer of the Roav but don't want to compromise on the quality for the sake of that convenience.

If you prefer an over-sharpened image, firmware 1.2 and above looks a lot better.

I think they've overdone it.

color balance is way to saturated (color calibrated iMac monitor) Overly yellow makes it look Alice and Wonderland like. I'm using the firmware update. Sharpening needs to be dialed back. but mostly, this update and the last update, the color temp and saturation is way off.
