This is a gem I found on AliExpress for around $40 usd.
I did not expect much, except some level of usability.
This will not be a review. I can't keep the camera or app damn running long enough for it to be usable, so will attempt to return it.
Initial thoughts: powered by one, easily accessed 14500 battery, but only get about 35 minutes of use before it shuts down.
The supplied 1000 mah battery is reported to be only 700 mah.
I purchased a new 1300 mah battery, but camera usage did not seem to improve
The battery is a behind a weatherproof door, next to card slot and USB c jack.
No way to use external power and stay weatherproof.
I think whatever controls low voltage cutoff is set too high. The battery does not appear to be depleted, but the camera shuts down in 35 minutes +/-.
This also happens when using the app to access settings or download files.
The video is not sharp. I will tweak the exposure a bit.
Wind noise is high.
I would be satisfied with this on my bicycle if I could get an hours use out of it.
That's not happening .
The camera also has a built in led light, with hi/low/flash settings.
I have not used the light, while recording, yet.
I have been using this on my motorbike, which makes two 16 km trips a day to drop off my gf at work, and pick her up later. The camera shuts down at about the 35 minute point. Pretty much useless.
The manufacturer claims 5k, and there is an option in the settings for 5k, which is disabled.
I limited my video to One minute clips, the download via the app is slow, and the app seems to lock up during the second download.
I have tried 1080p30, and 1080p60.
