Parking mode powered through OBD port

I currently have the 0807 and are powered through the OBD port for parking mode.

I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with the 0906 and if it can be powered in parking mode through the OBD port just like the 0807 or is it only the hard wire kit that can power the 0906 in parking mode.

How does it work with the 0807? Is it constantly plugged into the OBD or you have to switch it over when car is off? Thanks.

It's constantly plugged into the OBD port.

Yes it does. I set it as low frame record with motion detect.

0906 need a parking signal from power source so we recommend to use the exclusive parking guard hardwire kit.
I am not sure if other power source can provide this signal.
