Firstly, I want to thank everyone on this forum. After reading all your posts, I found the confidence to hardwire my A118c on my '15 Escape.
Ford's 12V is always "on", hardwiring was the only way to start/stop and auto record.
Since, I've noticed that the A118c had to reboot 4 times before engaging record mode during startup.
Is this due to the fact that the capacitor was drain during shut down / auto save the last file?
If so, why does it reboot about 4 times before engaging? It's all automatic but it does mean that my A118c won't record till after 2 - 3 mins of driving.
Is this normal? Is this a ford fuse problem (fuse slot 87)? More importantly, is there a way to shorten / improve this?
Thanks.
