Lte module module has now become view/preview only mode. Download of file no longer available. Not possible to change camera settings. What's next thy remove?

🙄

I just tried to remote wake up my 1Spm, and it have worked a few days ago at least, but now it say my modem failed.

Okay #2 attempt and i am on camera just fine, but cant seen to find the SD card in the camera ( just put in new one today before 90 KM drive ) I can only see cloud files and already downloaded files when i press the folder button.

Been a while since i DL a file, by LTE or WIFI for that matter as i dont really use this, but wanted to replicate your guys issue

Sorry for the inconvenience to you.Our technicians reported that the remote setup function was unusable (the settings icon disappeared) because, according to some customers, network fluctuations caused LTE remote setup to fail when connecting the dashcam and their phones via LTE. This resulted in the dashcam remaining stuck on the settings screen and unable to access parking monitoring, potentially draining the car battery and preventing the engine from starting.

Furthermore, some customers reported that they could already set the dashcam using a physical button on the device itself, or connect directly to the dashcam's Wi-Fi and a mobile app for setup (both methods work). Adding LTE remote setup seemed redundant, and the uncertainty of whether the dashcam would respond during remote setup could cause inconvenience. Therefore, they suggested we remove this function.

We also conducted extensive industry and market research and concluded that the practical application and user experience of remote setup via LTE were not particularly good. After comprehensive evaluation, we decided to remove the LTE remote dashcam setup function.
So I guess never. 🙄

Personally, I have never had the problem described in your explanation, dissatisfied users could give up on configuring LTE!!!! As a parenthesis, if you don't have proper net on your phone, you can't watch YouTube, logically, so what are you doing, uninstalling the application?
I contradict you, the LTE function was very useful because I didn't have to be near the camera to change the parameters (parking, downloading videos from the sdcard, various settings, etc.) instead, by accessing the camera via wifi or physical buttons, I have to be right next to the camera.
Personally, I am confused by the removal of the LTE function because I use Android Auto which uses the phone's wifi, so I have to turn off Android Auto and only then can I connect to the camera via wifi and the explanation that there are buttons on the camera is questionable. I say that you made the wrong decision, something good was removed from the application because some users don't have a good LTE signal or have no idea (I don't want to offend) how to use the application. It's each user's choice how to access the camera, if they have problems with LTE, they can use wifi or buttons.
Good day.
Sorry, I'm using Google Translate.

Sorry for the inconvenience. Our app is currently undergoing maintenance, and an update will be released soon. After the update, all previous functions and the original UI will be restored.
Please kindly wait a little while.

Thank you.

In meantime people can rollback to vantrue v2.2.15 witch have "old" functionality and disable automatic update

Still missing connection status of lte module and camera 👀

Are you referring to the labels on the image disappearing? This is normal — the app has been optimized. This adjustment was made to avoid confusing users. Previously, it would show as ‘offline,’ which could lead people to mistakenly think that remote monitoring was disconnected, therefore, we removed the status display.
The connection logic has been optimized: if the LTE icon is dim, it means it’s not connected; if it’s bright, it means it’s connected and functioning normally.

So no indication on lte module is offline or just the camera?

If you look at the device icon in this image, it’s dimmed, which indicates that the unit is not connected.

In this image, the device icon is highlighted, which indicates that the unit is connected.

just my 2 cents but it does seem like it would make more sense to have an ONLINE or OFFLINE logo or a light of some kind in the app for an indicator

Thanks for the suggestion and we’ll continue to optimize this in future updates.
