Replace A119s with A119 V3 ?

Hi All. For sometime I have had problems with my A119s, in that when I turn on the car the unit starts going Beep-Beep and needs to be reformatted. The A119s is rather old so I assume that the internal RCT battery is failing as I do not use the car everyday.
The A119s is a discontinued camera so would I be replacing a very old 119s camera with a newer, but still old, V3camera?
Just because it's old does not mean it's inferior. There seems to be a lot of YT Videos on the V3 so that should help. Will the Lens filter from the 119s fit the V3?

Thank you, that is very helful. I have been doing some reading and came across this review on Amazon:

"Night time the picture was terrible with the CPL filter on. I've got a heated windscreen so i'm assuming the fine heater wires, combined with night time and whatever the CPL filter does caused the images to be quite fuzzy. Taking the filter off at night restored good video footage."

My car also has a heated screen so is this CPL problem related to the screen?

There will be a little influence with the tinted window.
