Sequence delay join

OK I’m not sure I’m not using the right terminology here but here goes, as the DR500GW gives a reasonable image quality, I was planning on using it to also serve as a camera to record the road trips I do, sadly as the segments are only between 1, 2 or 3 minutes long the sequence join is very noticeable as the image back tracks for a second or two or it does on mine.

To my question, when saving it, is there a way of saving or viewing the footage making it more or less a seamless segment as opposed to the overlapping joints?

Or is there any software solution out there that would do this, using a Mac?

Any help would be most welcome
