sequential .MOV files have 6 second gap of missed recording

Hi all from a newbie here

Just for my 0803 mini with FW20140510v1.0 and external 16Gb class 10 sdhc card.

I notice that consecutive .MOV films have a 6 second gap (based on timestamp on .MOV) where nothing is filmed. My understanding is that .MOV films should not have gaps between them.

So I'm wondering if I have missed some key setting (and the ridiculous manual does not help).

Anyway I would welcome some advice before consider to return the dash cam

Try doing a factory reset reformat the card and for troubleshooting purposes try another card if you have one

Now, I do not own an 0803, but a 6 second gap is probably something no dashcam will give you. Not even the $30 fake-offs on Ebay.

Something is definitely wrong. It's probably the card or the camera that have issues.

My 0803 has no gap.
