I don't like talking to people anymore on my cell phone,I hate it when someone calls me when I am driving,I then have to pull over to answer it.
Statistic say more people killed in accidents caused by someone on phone texting or talking than killed by a drunk driver,
The time has come to implicate same punishment as drunk drivers.
What are the statistic saying in Denmark?

I cant find anything regarding that, but no doubt the cellphones are to blame a lot.

If i had anything to say the police would have to check the telephone call / text log for all ppl involved in a accident.
And i seem to have notised a rise in accidents where for no reason a car get into the oncomming lane.

More and more often it seem ppl who have been in s crash where just messting with the radio or ajusting the AC or somthing, no one admit to be on the phone offcourse. ( not that will add anything especial negative in case of a accident, perhaps a 1500 DKkr higher fine and thats it )

Just read a newsflash.
Last year the police in Copenhagen was chasing a guy at high speeds inside the city, in the end the guy killed a 40 year old woman hitting her with 90 km/h.
The guy was drunk and had been smoking cannabis.
His innitial conviction read 4.5 year in jail and no driving for 4 years, the no driving have been changed to no driving for life. ( first time i belive this sentence have been given here )
To me this is still a insult as he should be hit with vehicular manslaughter, but sadly we dont have that in Danish law.

I am betting if he had not been driving with the cops chasing him and so on, but he just ran the curbe with 90 km/h and killed the woman his sentence would only have been maximum 2 years in jail.

So you see if you want to kill some one here, run his ass over with a car, and you will be fine with a extended vacation. πŸ™

I find it more and more difficult tall and with pride announce "I am a Dane"

I think a fine that doubles every time caught ,One guy in Vancouver was caught over 60 times on the phone and driving,
He was 60 years old,Some people just never learn .
The laws need to change sooner.
Stay safe my friend.
