Sneaky cops

Saw these guys hiding behind bushes in a private driveway. They were shooting cars with their laser.

Just to wind them up I would have tried going into that drive. Did they have the owners permission I wonder, or could they be done for obstruction ?
If the owner parked on the road because they could not get in would they have got a ticket?

Kind of ironic that their vehicle markings are very "go-faster stripe" in style.

If anybody else parked there they would have got a ticket for parking on a footpath.

Our local officers use a private drive near an elementary school often for the first month or two after summer break. At a particular school bus stop on a four lane thoroughfare where school policy doesn't permit busses to trundle through condo complexes, a patrol is often stationed mornings in a lot across the street. For this specific use my take is truly for safety sake rather than revenue generation.
