Solved: Registrator Viewer Issue

Hi All,

Just started having problems viewing video through Registrator Viewer.
It starts playing a trip, then about 30 seconds into the vid my laptop completely locks up.
Have to force a power off and restart.
The only thing that has changed AFAIK is the current Microsoft updates were installed today.
Anyone else having issues?

No other reports of registratorviewer lockups that I'm aware of. It's most likely a unique Windows issue.

at home,i have a desktop pc with win7,no problem with 7

Grrrrr, hate that!!! Will investigate further. Try on my desktop later.

Downloading now. Bit slow out in the man cave tho, will test and get back to you.

Dashcamviewer play's individual files ok, no lockup's....
Will test more......

Soz people, was away for a few days...
Ok, seems to be a laptop thing for me! My desktop still plays everything ok.
Did notice that I also have issues playing other video and even MP3's on the laptop.
Dunno why, but I'm not happy as it means I can't watch any vid's or play music in the man cave, grrrrrr...
Will do some more investigating as overhead says he has issues too..

Think I've solved the problem.....
In Registrator Viewer, click Playback, select Decoders, select "Using Microsoft DTV-DVD Video Decoder-Never".
Download the K-Lite Basic codec pack, install it.
And there ya go. Plays perfectly..
