This appears to be the problem, however it had worked fine for 4 months. Would it be possible for the cigarette adapter to have become defective prematurely? As I previously mentioned, after fidgeting with the adapter in the socket, it restored power, however after yesterday no matter how I position it, it's no longer sending power to the A119S. I plugged it directly into the USB and it's been working flawlessly to lead me to suspect the cigarette adapter is the culprit.

Possible. I have replaced a couple. Are you using your cars USB port? If so, it's not recommended.
