As the tile says, I'm split between getting S1 Pro Max or E1 Pro (front & rear) coming from A119 V3 (front & rear).

The price difference is about $50 CAD more for S1 Pro Max with IMX675 rear camera.

I like the highly adjustable ADAS on the S1 Pro Max, unlike other brands ADAS that are pretty much non adjustable and can get very annoying.

S1 Pro Max

+ Highly adjustable ADAS

+ Voice control for both front and rear

+ Big screen with bigger control buttons

+ More discrete rear camera (front camera fit behinds rearview mirror in my car)

+ Easier wiring (don't have to tap into two different fuse wires)

+ Better heat dissipation (from all the reviews I've read on this forum)

- Price

- IMX675 rear camera

- No PlatePIX for rear camera

E1 Pro (front and rear)

+ Price

+ 4K sensors for both front and rear

+ PlatePIX for both front and rear

- Heat dissipation not ideal

- Small screen with small control buttons

- As rear camera, it's bulkier

- Wiring is not ideal having to tap into two fuse wires

- Cannot use voice control for both cameras

All suggestions, recommendations and opinions are welcome.

I've decided to go with the E1 Pro for both front and rear. Given the price and performance; it'll be a shame to pass up on two 4K dash cams for less money.

The E1 Pro is small enough to be hidden behind the front mirror and since my SUV has about two and half inches of painted metal about the rear glass before the fabric roof, I can stick the rear unit's GPS mount up there only having the dash cam unit show at the very top of the rear glass.

Also, upon further research the rear camera on the S1 Pro Max regardless of resolution is not processed like the front main camera. The color temperature is slightly different and HDR does not work like the main camera and gives very dark images under certain lighting conditions. Furthermore, the rear camera does not support PlatePIX and the mounting hinge can vibrate.

Lastly; since I'm an IT professional with electronics repair experience, I'll be dissembling my E1 Pro's to improve on the cooling and posting some pictures on this forum. Really it's just a matter of opening up the unit, changing out the thermal paste with some quality paste, changing out the thermal pads with some quality ones, adding some quality thermal epoxy to glue the shims together and perhaps adding come copper shims between the aluminum shims and the chassis.
