Ive got a mini 0806 which is working fine overall, however, when I set the resolution to HDR the image goes upside down but the wording on the screen time, date etc etc stays the correct way up. Any ideas whether cam or firmware issue? I'm going to phone combi tonight to discuss but wondered if anyone else had experienced this issue.

I wouldn't know where it is in the menu, but the 0806 does have a flip screen option....

It has. The point is the wording on screen is correct, the picture is upside down!

Not heard of that issue before, but very few people use the HDR mode, the normal modes do a better job using WDR.

If it works OK in the other modes then I wouldn't worry about it.

Spoke with Combi and have updated the firmware, still got the same issue, looks like the camera's faulty. I understand what you're saying but if you buy a product it should work in all advertised modes.

My understanding reading reviews is that HDR is better for the dark, which is when most of my driving is being done at present.

Looks like it will now be replaced under warranty.

On the 0806 the other modes use WDR which is also better in the dark but works slightly better than the HDR. 2560x1080 is the best mode.

I happen to like 2560 x 1080 too but what is best for you may not be "best" for everyone. Using my 0806 as a side facing cam, 1920 x 1080 @45fps is the mode of choice. That's why they provide options.

@Ian Brown

try to load defaults for check?
then recur this and let we know the process.........
I never heard this problem before. Maybe you found a new bug!

This sounds very unlikely to be a hardware issue, and easy enough for someone else to test for comparison. I'll try to later if I get time.

Yes, mine does this too. If you select the HDR resolution option AND rotate 180 degrees the problem shows. You don't need to record to see it, the problem is apparent on screen right away.
I'm currently using the custom bitrate firmware.

Edit> I may be wrong. Video playback is OK. Only the on screen display is upside down. I need to double check this.

Edit>> Confirmed. Playback is fine both on the 0806 and on PC (VLC).
