Turns out the A118C doesn't have a time lapse recording function like I thought, so I just let it record normally then sped it up 30x. Yes, I could have trimmed out the dashboard and reflection, but would have lost some of the foreground grasses and rocks, which make interesting shadows of their own. Also, the sidewalk really does curve like that. It's not the fisheye effect making it look bent.
Here's the exact location I had our car parked to shoot the video. Car was facing almost exactly southwest. https://maps.google.com/maps?q=34.935339,-101.639138 - using their measuring tool, the closest point on the cliff faces was over a half mile away.
Music is by Falcon - Blue Polar Bears. My hope is that by using chiptunes like this, youtube's copyright nazis won't hit me with the banhammer. Plus, I like them.
