Well... here's another thread with video samples and unboxing photos of the units.

Thanks to Wendy from Vantrue / @Jeff_Vantrue for sending the Vantrue N4 Pro S over. I've received it a couple weeks ago, but haven't had a chance to really review footage after swapping the unit out with the Vantrue N4S.

Although I didn't get any side by side comparison photos of the N4S vs. N4 Pro S, the N4 Pro S is bigger than the N4S, which makes it a bit more noticeable on the windshield. Build quality is great, just like other Vantrue dash cams.

Reviewing some footage, I might notice some camera shake, but not 100% sure yet and could it be because of my older mount(?) - reusing the one from N4S, though the mount is identical. Video quality from the cameras are pretty great.

Current setup is being powered over Vantrue OBDII with a Vantrue 1TB memory card.

I like the relative positioning of your rear camera and what I presume is the upper trim of the rear hatch in your car - it effectively blocks most of the sky which results in an overall exposure level that is determined by the road conditions instead of a bright sunny sky.

Very nice placement!

Thanks! Was in the same placement as when I was testing the Vantrue N4S. Didn't have to rewire much besides replacing the main unit and remounting the static sheet + mount since i tkept dropping after swapping from N4S to N4 Pro S - might be due to extra weight.

Has anyone noticed the N4 Pro S have a bit more vibration than the N4S or other Vantrue dash cam(s)? Or is it just my vehicle + mount?

I was mostly focused on the front view - comparing the N4 Pro S and the S1 Pro Max. I know both of my rear cam have some vibration and can probably solve it by adding some adhesive to one of the plates.:

On same stretch of highway in traffic.

You don't want to extend the N4 Pro S hinge. You want to do as was recommended with the S1 Pro Max Rear Camera.

1. Tightening the hinge screws very tight

2. You don't want to extend the rear camera as pictured below. Either 3M / VHB the lower hinge to the camera itself or do not extend the lower hinge. Otherwise you will 100% get vibrations and instability.

I use the same windshield mount with the main N4S, N4 Pro S, and N5S cameras.
To be honest, I haven't noticed any vibration.

Same for me, I'm not seeing any vibration and I reused the same mount from the N4S camera.

I will replace my mount with the one that came from the N4 Pro S instead of reusing the N4S and see if that eliminates the vibration.
