Thinkware ARC - Testing/Review - RCG

I have reference arrows in place for each dash camera’s video footage showing the vehicle’s hood edge near the windshield. You can see the edge of the hood bounce up/down in the ARC footage and the edge of the hood is rock steady in the A229 Plus footage.
That is quite fast vibration too, it will be blurring the license plates even when paused.

I added my Thinkware F200 Pro front dash camera back to the vehicle that has the Thinkware ARC dash camera. This is to show that other Thinkware dash camera models with a similar front camera mount will not result in shaky video. The F200 Pro front camera footage contained no noticeable vibrations.

Thinkware rep has shipped a revised Thinkware ARC [change: updated body part of front camera mount]. I'll get it installed sometime this week to see if it stabilizes the camera while driving.

Finally got around to installing my Thinkware ARC. I'm using the hardwire kit and instructions say to, "Connect the battery wire to continuous power, and the acc wire to a switched circuit." The respective wires are red and yellow. There are no markings on either wire. Which one goes where?

Interesting. I just pulled out the hardwire cable from one the ARC dash cameras I have and it has markings on both power wires. It looks like some sort of black shrink wrap with small white letters on it. The yellow wire is labeled as "Battery" and the red wire is labeled as "Acc". I hope that helps.

Thanks for the reply! Glad I asked, because I would have normally connected the red to battery. I downloaded the manual, and they have a drawing showing a 'Flag' on the wires.

@J_Persons The picture in the user manual is not how they actually mark the power wires.

Here's a picture of the Thinkware ARC hardwire cable with the writing I mentioned in my previous post.
