Noticed that if you turn on timelaps there is no way to turn it off whilest driving.

With the cam i bought the bluetooth button. I dedicated one of the buttons to timelaps on [the cam echo's that timelaps is on..] You shouldt expect that if you press that button again that timelaps wouldt end and the cam should echo timelaps off and goes to 'normal' recording again. Neither happens so to turn timelaps off whilest driving doesnt work. I have to stop the car and disable timelaps manual in the software or on the cam itself.

Is this a glitch, is it something i do wrong..anyone any idea?

Sounds like a bug, or oversight in the implementation. I don't think many people use timelapse while driving, and the configurable button is still pretty new, so maybe nobody has reported this issue yet.

Maybe @VIOFO-Support can get it fixed for you...

Well during a trip i find timelaps a nice feature to record parts of the trip and viewing the footage later.
I think that timelaps is indeed something most use whilest parking

Contacted Viofo, but no response about the issue. Seems that they are not able to reproduce it. Or they think also, why timelaps during driving.. 🙂

Looking at the list of button options:
  • Turn On / Off Microphone
  • Take a Photo
  • Turn On / Off WiFi
  • Power Off
  • Switch to Timelapse Recording
  • Turn On / Off HDR
For HDR, Wifi and Microphone, it does say on/off, while for timelapse it only has "switch to", so you are saying it is working as described!

Clearly it could be improved to have "switch to / return" though... maybe Viofo hasn't understood the issue, or how you want to use it.

Yes Nigel. Those button options are availble. And switching on with the bluetooth button works. But as written. No option to turn it off. You wouldt expect that pressing the button again the timelaps wouldt go to off. That is not the case. You have to park the car and turn it off manually in the cam or Viofo app
