Truck tries to turn around....major fail

Lol...talk about a rookie mistake. Probably should've just reversed, but made the situation worse by trying a u-turn.

does anyone think he still has a job?🙄

Its just a trailer ? to my knowlege thats the most easy setup to reverse with, when i got my licence we had trailers witch steeared on the front Wheels too.

Those are a Whole other ballgame to reverse with, but Again after some weeks of practise reversing around a coner was no problem.

One of my dreams is to go Down under and have a go at one of ther road trains.

Here is another recent one. This one is even more dangerous.

hehe 😀 that guy need a very special dual cam setup.

I did feel bad for the truck driver towards the end. The guy filming didn't even get out to help. Typical of people these days. They would rather pull out their phone and record to put onto youtube instead of helping.

I hear you flank, on the other hand i dont undestand why he dident just proceed another 1/4 mile Down that street and turn around his truck there at some Company or gas station.

I see ppl do kinda the same here, and i think its those damm GPS navigation devises that is to blame. It is like if ppl miss "turn right here" they have to push ther cars for a mile as penalty, why not just proceed and then make a 180 deg turn where it is possibel to do with out problems.

Another thing i Wonder about is when ppl here drive Down a off ramp and into oncomming traffic on the freeway, it can be no suprice that somthing is wery wrong when 3 lanes of traffic come toward them, and still they proceed for many kilometers to the next ramp.

Another thing i dont undestand is the ppl i Work with, i see them every morning comming to Work with ther GPS navi units turned on ?????? they have been working at that adress for years, and surely they havent fogotten the route they drove yesterday to get to Work.

Sometimes when i have a passenger they like to take mine out and play with it. It's one of the Garmin models that is voice activated so they sit there and go Garmin... Go to... Wendy's.... and it starts navigating. Their model doesn't do that so every once in awhile it gets left mounted, but if someone is actually using it to navigate to a place they drive to almost every day for 5 years that is a little rough. I'm no Ferdinand Magellan but unless I'm in another state or really far away from home I can usually wing it if need be. All roads come out someplace.

My GPS does traffic alerts, camera reminders etc, sometimes I use it for that kind of thing even if I don't need mapping

That's true I forgot about that. I've never used mine for it, but it does have one of those traffic receiver cables.

Perhaps their GPS units have traffic monitoring? It's not so much needing the guidance to work everyday as having the GPS warn and reroute when a bad traffic jam is detected. I've had times when I've been stuck on the highway for a good while, when I could've just used the surface streets had I known about the jam before getting on the highway.

Also, some GPS units are configured to auto turn on just like dashcams.

yeah mine must be the Garmin too, I thought it was but wasn't 100% sure, it's in Australia so I haven't seen it all year, GPS in China is whole other adventure

Traffic monitoring could be, but i see no reason for using it around where i worked, in the 3 years i was there the freeway was only partially blocked at one time for a fjew houres, and there is plenty alternative routes to that adress no matter witch direction you come from.

To my knowlege the only Places where trafic back up on a regular basis her in DK is, around Copenhagen, and around a town called Vejle in Jutland. but the Vejle issue should be over quite soon due to massive freeway expansion and re-routing in that area.

The Copenhagen issue will proberly never get resolved as there is too many dumbasses that live and work in that hell hole. 😛

Then offcourse there is allso the fjew days during the year when Things get slowed Down a little due to holliday traffic, but its no suprice , and could be overcome quite easy by leaving home in good time or drive around the fjew known problematic spots. ( chek interweb for road Works and have traffic announsements ON in your radio in the car ).

Driving around a traffic jam in Denmark is no problem, we are a quite small country with plenty of roads.

A permanent installation of a GPS nav unit in a car would be stupid, cuz we are blessed with so many Eastern European "turists" that love to take a "free" nav unit when they leave for home. ( stolen Things get shipped out east in cars - trucks and containers )
The rule is never leave anything in your car you are not willing to Loose. cellphones and nav-units are gone within seconds.

People still use standalone GPS units? 😀

My Garmin has traffic but it is very slow to update and very basic. Traffic is from an over the air cable. I only use it for long distance road trips.
