Unable to Delete Library Thumbnail Files

Nextbase IQ 4K Front and Rear
I installed the Nextbase IQ 4K front and rear cameras in October 2024. The camera seems to work really well and has good quality video. I have subscribed to the Protect Plus to enable all aspects of the camera and App.

I have an issue where after reformatting the Nextbase SD Card all files remain on the App.

I have been receiving regular Support from Nextbase however to date they have been unable to resolve the issue nor have they been able to identify what is causing the problem.

Nextbase have apparently deleted all files from the Cloud on their end however this is having no effect on my App and all files of which there are thousands by now remain on my App.

I am wondering if anyone else with the IQ has had or is having the same issue.

It sounds like there is two seperate issues.
Formatting the memory used in the dashcam and the cache memory in the app.

When you check the dashcams memory straight after a format using the dashcams screen what files do you see?

The app maybe keeping files on your phone in a cache.
Consider deleting the app and any cache then restart your phone and reinstall the app.
This should remove any cache files in the phone.

Thanks got it sorted yesterday. I had done all of the above numerous times and for some reason nothing seemed to work. I ended up having to delete my account on the IQ then register again using my same username. After doing this the files are now deleting as they should. I don’t think they knew what was going on and deleting the account was the only way to resolve the issue. Just glad it’s working.

For anyone with an IQ Subscription. I had paid for the full year which was £99.99 if you ever decide to delete the IQ the subscription is cancelled. You will apparently be sent a Voucher by Nextbase that must be used in 12 months otherwise it expires and you lose it. No Cash Refund which seems quite harsh.
Nextbase support were fantastic and always replied to any questions I sent.
When I deleted my IQ they sent me a code to set up the account free then extended it to cover the year I had paid.
 
Back to Square One 🤦‍♂️. I tried formatting the SD Card in my IQ using the App and I am again unable to delete the Library Files dating back to 30th January. I have again contacted Nextbase Support and they initially asked me to ensure the Tick ✅ was present on the camera when the format was complete which it was. They also asked me to clear the Cache. The only way I can see how to do this on an IPHONE is to go through Settings, General, IPhone storage and then Delete App this states all files and documents will be deleted. I done this and after reinstalling the App and signing in all library files are still present.
Support have informed me there have been other reports received with a similar issue and are again looking in to it. I will update when possible and meantime if anyone has had the same issue or can advise on a fix it would be great to hear from you.
