UV index 11!

Without winter, how would we get stuff like this?

lucky climate change isn't real then
No 😀...let's burn burn more fuel. In fact ...let's be forever the slaves of oil industry. Why to invest more in Sun harvesting (or other clean energies) ? In the end, it will be free energy for everyone: bad for business.

I'm not sure the UV factor has anything to do with that. What I have noticed is that those who work outside more-or-less constantly generally don't have major skin or heat-related health problems, the body seems to learn to adapt to conditions very well. ...Those who use sunblocker are also more susceptible it seems.
The body has its limits. You can't adapt to any conditions without taking into account external solutions (e.g., AC, living underground, using sunblockers etc.)

Humans have lived for eons in every environment on Earth. ...I think the difference is that when you've learned to live with your environment, you are less affected by it than when you try to avoid it. ...It's summer, it's hot, it's sunny, and that is how it is supposed to be
Let's say 300000 (not 200000) years; still, do you think they looked as you ? The changes were made in a large period of time, little by little. Also, maybe you or some people can adapt easily to the new environmental conditions, but what about your food (plants and animals) and the quality of water ?

This made me think about a movie I saw some time ago.

Now get over it or move to a cooler climate and don't complain about the winters after that 😛
Phil
I can't imagine why anyone would complain about winter... 😀
I can't complain about winter when things like the ones below happen, literally, once in a lifetime!

I'm guessing there were very few people out driving then - and those that did were having an interesting time adapting.

I've seen it snow hard enough to actually stick on the ground (and not just melt instantly) twice, and i've lived here since 1988. Most people were scared to death and wouldn't even go outside except maybe to play in the snow. most people out driving in it had moved here from points north, and were laughing at the weenies who were so scared of a mere 1/2" of snow. My dad (who learned how to drive in new england) took me out in it and taught me how to drive on snow and ice.

I only saw that one in the photo, but then again he's Ukrainian, he must be used to it. 🙂
When it stopped snowing everybody else started coming out as usual.

I am guessing fjew ppl down there have all year tires on ther car, and even fjewer have a set of proper snow tires.

My car is 4 years old, and i have yet to experience a need for snow tires, the first winter we did get some snow, but i just stayed on the big roads and i was good.
My problem is even more simple now, cuz now i cant even afford a set of tires 😳 im a sad excuse for a man 🙄

Like I said, it never snowed here before!
There are some parts of the country where snow is very common but even in those places people haven't got the habit of using snow tires because it only snows 3 or 4 times every winter and it doesn't last long.

I want to be a weatherman. There's no other job where you can consistently be completely wrong and still keep your job.
I wouldn't say they're completely wrong, because it's not their fault the weather is completely unpredictable these days.
If they have to keep adjusting it daily maybe they should start making only 1 day forecasts instead of these 10 day ones. The problem is that it could trigger some sort of climate change wake-up call among the population and someone "up there" doesn't want that to happen.
Keeping things like they are now it's like you said: people will keep believing that the meteorologists can't get the forecasts right and they get to keep their jobs.

One of the biggest storms ever to hit Denmark was presented by the "weather gurus" as a "minor low pressure passing by tomorrow"
Sadly those like our politicians and doctors cant make mistakes, so no one lost ther job for that huge mistake.

I sort of trust a 24 Hour forcast, but i still have to factor in that the forcast allways seem to be for Copenhagen, and the 200 KM between where i am and our capitol often mean a huge difference in the weather.
