I have my v1 unit connected to switched power using the 5v socket plug into a 5v socket I wired to the fuse block. Used an add-a-fuse. Power comes on and off as it should - but shouldn't the unit be retaining time and date with a little battery inside? Makes it very hard to locate something on the mem card when I need to.

Do you use gps antenna as well?
I assume you have date, time and time zone set correctly on the first place?

What firmware version? Only the newer versions of V1 firmware have auto date time sync. When did you purchase and what's the serial number off the back

I will check later today and reply back.

I finally got the firmware installed and reset everything to correct settings, time date etc. I'll check later tonight to see if things are different.
