VANTRUE E1 PRO FIRMWARE (Release time: 04/02/2026)

I updated to VT-EEB051, the camera displayed "update successful", but it still shows VT-EEA071 in the menu when I check the current FW.

Hi Tony, may I know if you update the firmware via the app or via the sd card?

SD Card. I did not see an option to update the FW via the app, just a link for where to find the FW.

VT-EEA071 is newer than the 051 version.
On the website the release date is 18.02.2025 for 071.
You should have the latest version.

Thanks. I'm not used to their naming structures.
 
That's the same version number that my E1 Pro is showing in the menu structure after the update. I am confused because the website indicates version VT-EEA071. Did we get the right version??

I would hazard a guess that it's internal testing perhaps or staged rollout of a stable firmware. Public website seems to be slow on rollouts. The E1 Pro isn't on sale yet is it
 
I received an update from Vantrue - VT-EEB211 is still undergoing internal testing
 
I was prompted in the app to update the firmware and it went perfectly without a hitch using the app. The key thing here is that once the update is available, the app needs to be started first while the phone still has a data connection. If you connect to the camera wifi first and then start the app, the app can't check the firmware. It may also be that the app needs to have connected to the camera at least once so that it knows which firmware to download as soon as the app has a data connection.

3. Optimized system handling for large-capacity SD cards in USB mode to fix occasional recognition failures and freezing issues that caused automatic restarts.

4. Fixed an issue where, upon inserting a faulty SD card, the recording interface briefly displayed in Chinese at startup.

5. Updated the Wi-Fi icon to include frequency units (Hz).

6. Resolved a problem where HDR would remain enabled if the device was shut down during a scheduled HDR timer period and restarted after the timer had expired.

6. Fixed an occasional frame duplication issue.

Just sucked down this latest FW, now to get my ass off this chair and into the car to update camera.

Yesterday, when I got into the car and connected to the E1 Pro via the app, a message immediately appeared that a firmware update was available for the E1 Pro. The OTA E1 Pro update went smoothly.
Today, there was a firmware test at night and during the day.
The test results have not yet been analyzed due to lack of time.
 
Hello, I got an E1 Pro OTA update yesterday saying "VT-EEF131" . I assume this is newer then the VT-EED161 ? Although on the vantrue website it's VT-EED161 being the latest ?

1. Important Update: Added a Entry/Exit Mode in Parking settings with three settings: Auto, ACC, and G-Sensor. (Note: If the ACC wire was previously connected incorrectly, please select the G-Sensor option; otherwise, Parking Mode will not function properly.)
2. Important Update: Added Turkish and Czech language options to the main unit.
3. Important Update: The screen-off protection temperature has been adjusted from 65°C to 55°C, and the detection time has been reduced from 10 minutes to 5 minutes, providing earlier protection for the display screen.
4. Fixed the translation for 'Privacy Mode' in Russian.
5. All 3840×2160P resolutions have been updated to display as 4K.
6. In Parking Mode, all collision event videos are now moved to the Event folder.
7. Blocked certain 5G Wi-Fi frequency bands to comply with regulations in specific regions.
8. Optimized the logic linking the PlatePix and HDR timers, and added related prompt messages.
9. Added a prompt message when enabling Privacy Mode.
