Here's some Photos / Videos taken with Vantrue's New Thermal TS2 Camera! @Jeff_Vantrue

Videos and Photos taken in both Fahrenheit and Celsius to show TS2 Supports Both.

You can select an Area to Measure Temperature:

Looks decent, I have a victor 328b so similar results

Good on Vantrue though as expands the audience of these thermal cameras to potential new demographics

This sub forum is also for the T2, not TS2 whoopsy haha

@Augustus thanks. I wasn't sure where to post this and misread the T2 as TS2. Appreciate the feedback. How do you like the victor 328b? I'm still testing out this unit, but so far so good. Liking the TS2 a lot.

@DashCamMan can you please move this to Vantrue Other so I don't have to repost everything.

I've used it probably 40-50 times, and it's been reliable every single time, and disconnecting and reconnecting with my phone has been pretty seamless. It's uses have been quite handy, have used it to draught proof my house and other little jobs around the house, obviously for measuring dashcam temps too.

Guess the only downside is that the lens can get quite smudgy when handling, but other than that for the price it's been fantastic and a godsend

The Vantrue has customization settings to set room temperature and distance from the device being measured. Is this similar to the Victor 328B

What do you think of the manual focus lens? I'm finding it hard to know when things are in focus, although with the low resolution it probably doesn't matter that much.

Not having any difficulty? I've been able to focus manual lens without significant difficulty. My Phone is a larger s22 Ultra. What phone are you using?

Turn camera horizontally and have the camera facing opposite direction (not pointing at you). And it makes it far easier to adjust lens.

Yep, sure does. Even though it's a Victor branded product, it can use the TOPDON apps so gets all the more customised features of those apps. The AI assistant is rubbish as a prompt, but it has written guides in the app with screen grabs telling you what to look for, so that's handy.

I know you get the macro lens with the Vantrue and the upscaling, but I paid 108USD new for my Victor, I wouldn't myself personally pay the premium for other products when just about most of the functions I already have.

Agreed, price point is always a concern, and the TS2 is definitely not a cheap purchase. The Macro Lens and Zoom capabilities are quite nice.

The Topdon software appears to be more robuse than the Vantrue TS2 software. I don't think an AI assistance is available, which would be of use. Have you tested this feature for accuracy? I also like that there's pre selected settings like wall leakage, etc.

@Jeff_Vantrue is it possible to add additional features to the software? I think presets like TopDon offers would be useful. Adding an AI assistant and pre-selected modes with House Detection, Air Detection (to show if heat or cold is escaping from poorly weather proofed / sealed object), etc.

@Augustus thanks for sharing that information. I think this can help Vantrue expand upon their own software, which I didn't consider in my review.

AI seems to lead to pre defined articles on wall leakage, pests, HVAC etc so it's more a gimmick because everything is AI and the buzzword these days.

The written guides telling the user what to look for are handy, to me it's correct enough in telling me what to look for and how to make sense of it. Which most YouTube videos if you look up a topic e.g. draught-proofing, kind of gloss over or don't do a good job of explaining it to the average user.
