VHB tape

Is it safe to stick the VHB tape of the mount over the black dotted pattern printed on the windscreen? How strong is it? Will it ruin the pattern and pull off the dotted print if you try and remove the mount/tape?

Yes it's safe. 3M VHB uses surface tension and is pretty safe to remove. Authentic 3M VHB is not a Nasty adhesive glue like the stuff found in the generic double stick tape. Use the white string to saw between the glass and the mount to remove.

I had to remove my mount to change for the thicker one when I got the polarized filter.
The mount resisted bravely, but I did win and I buried it with national honors, thanks to the supplied string.
Not a single dot let even a trace on the adhesive. Nor a trace of glue on the dots. It had been there since april.

I have been using it in the dotted area from the beginning. Applied and removed many times, and it will not harm that area at all. Adheres very well on the dotted pattern.
