Is the Vicovation Vico-MF3 their flagship camera?
Furthermore, any idea roughen when we can see reviews and comparisons of the MF3 to the Blackvue 650 and Lukas 9750?

I think its a new top tier camera from them, but in regard to see it compared to those 2 specific cameras will be hard to tell.

But i think it should be compared to other single channel cameras.

So we should compare the forthcoming VicoVation Vico-MF3 with the single channel Blackvue 650S 1 channel?

However, it seems that Lukas doesn't make very good single channel systems, am I right?

Are you basically saying that these two single channel systems perform better than their twin channel brethren's?
And so far, the Lukas has smoother video than the Blackvue's thanks to a higher bit rate?

Lukas have pretty low bitrate, i think it was 11 mbit ( MAX ) on my LK-7500, and i think its the same on newer models both single and dual channel cameras.

I can understand why they cant do much more bitrate for dual channel cameras, but i don't get why they don't have higher bitrate for single channel cameras.
Still i am very happy my LK-7500 is doing good in my sisters car.

Sorry about the mixup i keep forgetting blackvue have single and dual cameras with almost similar model names

As i understand it the vico cameras use the 4 mpix OV sensor, so their might performance will not be the very best, but that do not mean its bad, and even the best are not really that good at night anyway.

Parking mode is one reason why you don't see higher bitrates being used, heat is a problem

Yeah like that the low bitrate would be fine, and really all you need as there is little movement in the footage.
And its not like the standard 11 mbit footage of the lukas cameras are crappy, when i had mine i felt pretty happy about it.

I guess you cant have 2 levels of bitrate, one for driving and one for parking, at least not with the hardware lukas use.

the low bitrate is ok when parked as not much movement to deal with, it still generates heat though and if you then go and change to a higher bitrate when moving it can still cause issues, not to mention managing different bitrates has its challenges also, realistically using a camera when parked is just about the worst situation to deal with, it's a hardware killer at the best of times
