I've recently bumped into a dash cam where its contents are somewhat "protected" and wanted to learn the mechanism behind it.
It's an IROAD NX1 which I received for free from a local law firm where the boot screen shows their business info, and while playback is allowed on the device - when videos are extracted to PC - they are not viewable and runs into error.
Apparently the only way to extract the video is to bring the SD card to the law firm, and they have been giving out free dash cam as a marketing strategy.
I wanted to see if I can purchase my own dash cam and apply the same level of "protection" if possible. Please let me know!
