Since getting new pcs with windows 11 we can’t view dashcam videos .
On attempting to open the file, we just get a message stating that the GLV? file cannot be opened.
The videos are all watchable on our iPhones.
Totally perplexed, garmin help was no help!
They just provided a link to the problems site, which didn’t deal with our issue.
Any advice greatly appreciated, it was so simple on windows 10, two clicks and you were in..

You should be opening .mp4 files, not the .glv. GLV is a low res video intended for quick viewing on mobile devices.

Building win 11 PC as i type,,,, okay not exactly, on standby for a new case not yet in stores.
Should be here in a month,,,,,,, so will be soldiering on with a PC with no support in a few days. BUT ! then i am so ready, everything ready to be installed.

Not familiar with the Garmin systems, but the gentleman above is, you will want to open the right folders to find the right full fat files.
Really these small streaming sules should be hidden, it is not the first time they have caused problems for someone.

I use free VLC player and drag the videos in. It seems to play anything.

I learned yesterday, the 4 K 120 fps footage from my day / night scope, processing that i will have to lean on Resolve, my 3 other programs will only play the sound.
Mind you at least 30 fps footage from the same, no problem, also no problem 120 or 240 fps footage from my action camera.
Playback of it, no problem, but i wanted to slow down some footage, and so had to figure out how that work in Resolve i rarely use.

Guy of course want to use the right footage and not sub par streaming footage.

Hi thank you for your response, I can open the mp4 files no problem.. but they are only short clips of a minute or so or a photo.
The full length videos that I try to open are labelled GLV , so as my original question how can I view these files that are labelled GLV?
TIA.. phil.
