Still wish they would tone down the color saturation on the plus a bit and add a bit more warmer tint as I think it is just way to much on the cool side.

Impressive that with such speed difference and motion blur one /almost/ can read the registration despite the long streak. Just need to fix the overexposure...

Hello, I pre-ordered Viofo a229 plus 2 channel variant. So far, video quality is good for both front and rear cameras. License plate readability is good, but in night time I think it can be further improved.Totally satisfied with it and eagerly waiting for future software updates.

Video settings:
1440p 30fps + 1440p 30fps
CPL On
Bitrate Normal
Viofo a229plus Front 1440p 30fpsViofo a229plus Rear 1440p 30fps

Videos from Mini 2 almost coinciding in time with these can be seen here:

Hi,
I have also installed a229 plus and running it with max bitrate. I see that for you even at 50kmph it is able to pickup license plates on oncoming cars.
For my case I found that performance is nowhere near to this. Do you have any advice on this?

I don’t know how the A229 Plus works with the latest firmware.
The video you see above was shot on firmware: V1.0_231117
with these settings:
2560x1440 30fps
Bitrate=max
EV=-0.3
HDR=on
CPL=on
