1.)
Add switch for 11A HIGH / 6A LOW charging, (Hardwire vs CLA).
My biggest dislike of BP100 is the “proprietary / specialized” CLA Charge Cable.
11 Amp Max = Hardwire
6 Amp Max = CLA
The CLA Charge Cable has an embedded “resistor like device” inside the MR60 connector that differentiates voltage by approximately 0.02 Volts between;
RED: Battery + Pin
YELLOW: ACC Pin
This is how BP100 enables 6 Amp Max “LOW” charging.
A “proprietary / specialized” CLA Charge Cable puts an undue burden on the consumer because there are times when a DIY shorter / longer CLA Charge Cable is desired.
Or a replacement CLA Charge Cable is needed due to damage, lost, etc.
Because of this configuration the consumer can't make a DIY “replacement” CLA Charge Cable, and is forced to purchase an Official VIOFO replacement accessory.
Another reason for HIGH / LOW switch is to allow the consumer to charge at 6 Amp Max with Hardwire installation.
Some vehicle fuse boxes may not “play well” with an 11 Amp Max draw.
All this could be avoided if BP100 had a HIGH / LOW switch similar to BBMC PowerCell 8.
2.) Replace MR60 Input Connector with Lever Terminals that accept 12AWG Wire.
MR60 = VIOFO BP100
XT60 = BBMC PowerCell 8
XT60 = BlackVue B-130A
XT60 = Thinkware BAB-95
MR30 = 70mai BL96NNX
I can’t tell you how much I dislike all these different power wire connectors.
Making your own custom length, and replacement charge cables can be a real pain in the rear trying to source the specific connector, and don’t get me started on soldering.
I wish Dash Cam Battery Packs were sold like Car Audio Amplifiers.
No included power wire, and terminals to accept bare wire.
This would enable making your own custom length, and replacement power cables so much easier.
And you could opt to use high quality 100% OFC Pure Copper 12AWG Wire, or even larger, (10AWG & 8AWG).
Instead of the smaller 14AWG & 16AWG CCA (copper clad aluminum) included with some Dash Cam Battery Packs.
I’d be happy with terminals like these, but these require a screwdriver.
A built-in Lever Connector would be icing on the cake.
3.)
USB Type-C INPUT Charging QC/PD 65W - 100W
The most common question I see from first time Dash Cam Battery Pack users is;
“How do I charge the battery pack if I don’t drive often, or long enough?”
Example: I only drive 1-2 days per week.
Example: My commute is only 5 Minutes long.
The usual answer is to buy a home charger similar to what BlackboxMyCar offers.

Buying an additional $55 "specialized” single use piece of equipment is not value for money friendly.
Most consumers already own a 65W - 100W QC/PD Type-C smartphone / laptop charger, (why not use that)?
I requested this function November 5, 2024 at SEMA when I met Bill in person.
If I remember correctly he said; “It’s complicated”.
Well c’mon Bill, the @Energywell EnergyWell P6 currently sold in Canada, and Europe has Type-C Charging as demonstrated by our friend Pavel, (enable CC to translate Polish to English).
4.) Add holes, or chassis feet so it can be mounted in various locations, not just the floor.
5.) Second / Auxiliary Input to enable charging from a Solar Panel, (10W - 100W).
Must have pass through charging.
6.) Add Audio Beep Notifications for Charging / Discharging similar to BBMC PC8.
7.) Disable LED Status Lights While Discharging.
LED Status Lights should only illuminate while charging, or connected to Smartphone APP.
8.) Integrate Battery APP into All-New VIOFO Dashcam APP
Why do we have two separate APPs?
This is confusing, and not consumer friendly.

9.) Display currently installed BP100 Firmware in smartphone APP just like BBMC PC8.
10.) Smartphone APP Output Amperage Resolution is not low enough.
It should display down to 1mA just like BBMC PowerCell 8.
Especially now that we have LPID in the 31mA - 40mA range.
The last time I checked the BP100, the lowest Output Amperage Resolution was 0.1A
Please give us accurate resolution.
