Viofo HK3 won't shut off camera

I recently bought 2 hardwire kits for two cameras.
They don't shut off the camera when the ACC is off.
I'm trying at home with a 12v battery, and once I disconnect ACC wire (yellow) which is clearly marked ACC the camera stays on.
the camera does turn on when both BAT and ACC have power.
Parking mode is off.
Used to run these cameras with cig adapter with no problem.

The camera may have 2 USB ports, one on the side of the camera and one on the mount that sticks to the window. The camera can be disconnected from the mount. Only the USB on the mount that sticks to the window supports parking mode, going on and off depending in ACC. If you plug the HK3 into the USB port on the side of the camera then it ignores the ACC.

Are you sure of that? I am fairly certain that HK4 parking mode worked on my A229 without the GPS module. I may be mistaken.
 
I think Viofo may have made a mistake with the ACC a BAT cable and switched them.
 
Only the A329 needs power to be plugged direct into the camera for parking mode to work. OP does not say which model they are using.

What is your camera model? As other members mentioned, if your camera is A329, then you need to plug the power cable into the GPS port to get it to work as expected.
