Vueroid Announces new 4K dash cam - S1 Infinite

Try watching it full screen...

Well, have you ever been on a track, drag or otherwise? If so, you would know it is not a smooth ride. Most people think track video is smooth, the video is only smooth (as a rule) is there is a stabilisation mount for the camera. Past that, the dash cam will see and feel every thing the driver sees and feels.

It's interesting to see Vueroid partnering at a race car event, and in the US too. Do any other dashcam manufacturers do that?
Wonder if Viofo partnered up with these drivers in the USA LOL, check the 32:40 mark

Funny enough, Blackvue sponsored a competition last weekend and opened up unlimited livestreaming for all their customers so people could livestream from all of the different vehicles.

Late Sunday evening, I received the BlackVue app notification about the free live streaming event. There's was only about three hours left in the weekend. I'm not sure why the notification was sent out so late in the weekend.

Hm weird
That car looks and sounds very familiar to me.
Almost as if I was on the Nürburgring and sent the video to them. 😂

And before anyone assumes anything. I didn't get anything in return. I just shared it with them.
I was admiring the lack of vibration, good smooth road surface, and decent driving. Didn't know it was you, thanks for sending it in.

The vibration is indeed not noticeable! Even in the original video.
It's mounted with a static sticker on the windshield next to the mirror.
The surface on the Nürburgring is very smooth but the curbs are very harsh.

No problem 🙂 Sometimes I share these kind of videos or other moments. When or if they publish it is a different thing.

Very nice Julian, what car are you driving? I guess Papenburg is off limits, used for testing only?

It's just a small BMW with a 3L I6 petrol engine. 🙂

I'm unfamiliar with Papenburg. Never heard of it. It's in the Netherlands as I just saw.

As soon as I find a wealthy widow woman to marry, I am buying a BMW 840i in Alpine White. 😆

What is vibrating? The mount, the lens, or the "glass"!

In touring cars, the camera is normally mounted to the roll cage so that there is no vibration, and so that it can't become a projectile!
The track was in Sonoma. Not sure about the surface condition.
Mount, Lens.... I think it is harder to make them vibrate. 😉
Glass... not sure of the condition of the vehicle.
It depends on the suspension's setting, but yeah, it records what it sees.
Firmly attached to the front windshield and it should not vibrate due to the mount.

It's just an episode...
EIS, OIS, or DIS... all about vibration mitigation functions. The SoC that Vueroid S1 embraced also supports the feature.
It works well with the action cam in general. People want the nice, comfy video from it to show or memorize.
Sony is one of the best players, and CCTV makers have adapted the image sensors with this feature.
There was an earthquake in Japan, and CCTVs with this feature didn't catch any phenomenon, and afterward, they removed it all.

Is that a timed race? Looks like passing is impossible.

The track looks rather rough.
Not as smooth as the Nürburgring.
The hard suspension doesn't help either.

It's not timed. It's tourist drives.
Everyone can buy a ticket to drive a lap.
Passing is only allowed on the left since all road rules still apply. Even if it's a racetrack.

Passing is easily doable. You just have to make sure that the person you want to overtake is aware of your presence.
Speed and power does help too. 🤣

They look like genuine race cars, so they probably have acrylic windshields, and that is probably what’s vibrating.

The vibration is a bit fast for EIS, so you would probably end up with rolling shutter distortions, and it would look worse.

Sometimes you want the real vibrations recorded, in accidents and in earthquakes.
