It only happens at night. And it will happen after the camera cold start for like half~1 hour later.

The color pixels are not only one but they seams not in the same spots.

This is more likely so called hot-pixels.
You may try turn on a dashcam and record in pitch black. If first 2-3 minutes of the clip there are no hot-pixels but later ( after about 10-15min ) they start appearing, then it must be a hot-pixels.

So is this hot-pixels common? Any way to fix ?

  • I googled that from DR550 firmware v2.000 states the v2.000 firmware will fix dead pixels.
  • Hopefully my case will not be the issue from the CMOS sensor(no problem when day recording), otherwise the up-coming FW update won't be the solution:(

I think it is program errors because I had the same at 550 Blackvue. Try to change a firmware.

Is your situation got fixed after update firmware in your 550?
I hope so, so I will wait for 1.004 FW
