I'm guessing if it was a factor you'd have mentioned it and you haven't.
Still, i'll ask all the same - could it be anything to do with the fuses used? From memory it was a 3 and a 15 in there. IIRC the original 12v fuse was inserted in to the piggy back holder first with the supplied purple (i think) fuse going in the top slot closest to the wire that leads off from it.
