What happens if you use a 1TB card??

I haven't had any problems with the Samsung Pro Plus cards. I think the term "endurance" may be a marketing term. The Samsung Pro Plus cards refer to theirs as "protected" and list the same features that Vantrue lists as endurance.

Definitely not just a marketing term.

I stand corrected, you’re right. I guess my question is why the need for a 1TB card in a dash cam? I’m guessing for industries where you need to capture everything all the time and don’t want loop recording on.

Fair question. I think for some users, a 1TB card can make sense:
It keeps recordings from further back, which can be helpful if something comes up days later.
It allows for longer parking mode coverage without worrying about footage being overwritten. (Damage only being noticed hours or days later)
Less wear over time since the data writes are spread over a larger capacity.

It's not for everyone, but in some setups it does have its advantages.

I also prefer larger SD cards when doing road trips. I can just go back to a specific time or day and watch that part again without having to worry about it being overwritten.

Each person decides for himself what car to drive, what model of DVR to use, and what capacity memory card to use.
I know people who go on vacation to other countries by car, and change memory cards in the DVR along the way as they fill up. Upon returning home, they watch the footage and combine the moments they liked into one film about their trip. This is a hobby for people. It is much more convenient to use memory cards with a larger capacity.
With models like the E360, you can film your entire vacation on video, but a 128GB memory card won't fit it all.

Exactly! Depending on the camera it's entirely possible to get 50+ hours of front and rear video on a single card. That's more than enough space to record the entirety of many trips with no need to either off load the videos or deal with multiple cards.

Additionally, a larger card reduces the wear and extends its' life span.
