What is the expected life span of a Viofo dashcam?

I bought an A129 Duo in 2020. It's still working well and I expect it will continue running for a long time.

I'm glad it's fixed with the Reset. I tried Reset twice (once via the buttons and once in the Viofo app) on my A139 3-Ch and it did not fix the issue with the Interior Cam input not responding. In addition, when I try to assign the interior cam as the priority cam to show in the app, it says 'interior cam not available'. I had a cable plugged into the interior cam input at the time. I am curious what the issue is, such as was it something physical or electronics? I will be sending it in soon to have it examined. I hope they will let me know what the actual issue was.
You may plug the rear camera into the interior port and plug the interior camera into the rear port to confirm which part is defective since they can exchange to work.

I plugged the Rear cam and the Interior cam into the Interior input. Does not work.

I plugged the Rear cam and the Interior cam into the Rear input. Both cams work.

So, the problem is the Interior cam input.

The button is a hardware reset, in the app you just reset camera settings to default.
Nice it was just something simple and detectable with a little trial and error approach.

I once had another brand camera which somehow backed itself into a corner, i can not recall the specific way this manifested itself, but that was solved by loading the very same firmware i was already on, and for at least a few more weeks of use that never happened again, or with subsequent firmware updates.
we never figured out what caused the problem, it is not like i tear around in dashcam settings, generally i select my own favorites and leave it at that, not least back in that day where i was not given the option to also try things like parking guard as i was given no hardwire kit.

Expected life span? Could be very short if someone plugs the dash cam into the incorrect voltage. 😱

Longevity can be driven by matters such as how much does the user tinker with the dash cam? Do they install and leave alone, or do they daily unplug the camera from the GPS, remove power before unplugging from GPS, the heat and cold environment the dash cam is in, the rare manufacturing failure, etc. As it is a VIOFO product, I would say to easily expect a minimum of four to six years, with the most trouble coming from the MicroSDXC card, and then from the HK hardwire kits.

For most of us though, dash cam longevity is not an issue as we upgrade dash cams every two or three years, some do so yearly.

Well, I'm down to 1 channel on the A139 3-CH. The A139 kept rebooting constantly and was heating up to where it was too hot to touch. Unplugged the cam from power source, the Powercell 8. After letting it cool down, only one cam is working, the Front cam.
