As per title what's the difference between the SG9665GC and the SGGCX2 2018. Model
I understand neither of them have a battery but they have a capacitor, so what's the best way to
to wire them to have parking monitor ? Permanent feed, or switched feed, if the latter how long would the capacitor record for ?

SGGCX2 has new private tooling. Lens now swings a full 90 degrees for true vertical windows. PCB is at a new angle so the cables plugged into the top ports no longer hit the window when you plug in the cables. The same lens found in the new SG9663DC is also used in the SGGCX2. Maximum Heat and Cold tolerances have been increased. Ventilation has been enhanced. SG9665GC has a 322 Sensor, SGGCX2 has the 323 Sensor. SGGCX2 warranty can be extended to 24 months for free if you register online.

Super caps only purpose is to keep the last file from being corrupted after an accident in the sudden loss of power. (Only last a couple seconds)

If you want to record a bit longer while away use a Vico-Power Plus hardwire kit. It has a timer function along with high temp and low voltage cut off. I wouldn’t let the SGGCX2 or SG9665GC record 24/7 though. If you want basic hard wire get the CPMUSBHW

If you want official parking mode the SG9663DC is a better choice once the new 3-wire SGDCHW accessory kit for it is released. ETA Q1 2018.

Thanks for the quick and comprehensive reply.
Will the new 3-wire kit not fit the SGGCX2 ?

no, not on this model, we're working on some other model cameras that will release in 2018 that will use the same hardwire kit

Would the rear camera of the DC fit in a convertible on the parcel shelf ? Or is it rear screen fit only

it won't really suit that application, we have another rear camera we're working on now which would be more suitable
