Whats your Vico setup?

Hi All,
New to the dashcam world. I recently purchased a Vico Marcus 1 and im wondering if any of you with vico's product have hardwire the camera to your car. Right now i have it plugged into my cigarette lighter. I would like to hardwire it to my car. Any advice would be great!. thanks

Great, look forward to that, as well as any videos, your thoughts so far, etc.! Back to your original question, I would suggest the first thing you need to consider is whether the cam incorporates a parking mode (and therefore whether you would want power even when the car is off) - I don't recall seeing that feature in the material @JazJon posted on the Marcus 1 - does it have parking mode?

Congrats on the Marcus 1. There are some good ideas in the DIY section of the forum. I'm on my iPhone right now so it's hard to post direct links. My Vico-WF1 is hard wired. I plan on trying the Marcus 5 when available.

Looks great, Allan! Of course, you can change that 'Vico-Tag' on your videos if you'd like to customize it, say to 1stM1inNA or something like that...haha!

Hi Allan, thanks for sharing. You may want to point your camera a little down. In the video it looks as if it's capturing too much sky. A little tilt down will help with the exposure and may brighten things up in the morning and evening when the sky is bright and your in shade.

it only came with a suction cup mount which is kinda bulky. Looking for a 3m sticker mount for it.

That's odd...I thought all their dash cams came with sticker mounts. Maybe with the new mount the Marcus series uses Vico concluded that it wouldn't be necessary to include the sticker mount as standard equipment anymore?

I thought it would of came with it also but when i couldnt find it in the box I went to check their website and it said it was an optional accessory. And your right, it wont be included in any of the Marcus series. The 3M sticker mount from Vico sells just less than 10 dollars cnd on a Taiwan shopping site.
