Here is a short YouTube video of the sort of things that can appear in front of you. It demonstrates the need of a dashcam. The harvester passed me with no more than a cigarette paper width away. If he had scrapped me at least the cam would have helped in a claim.
 
That was quite tight! and yes, this cameras are quite useful.
