Why does the Mini v2 seem to get kind of 'meh' reviews vs the 119 v3? (Amazon UK)

Ok it's not like 5 stars vs 1 star but on Amazon UK the v3 gets 4.5 over 2k & the mini 2 gets 4.1 over only 40 reviews (thought this cam had been out a little bit? Only 40 reviews seems weirdly low).

4.5 to me reads as wow, this camera is great quality for the price point whereas 4.1 reads like there's grumbles, could be better kind of thing. There isn't really much in the price either, just £15.

Reason I ask is because I have a v3 which I'm happy with, although we could always do with better plate detection which I'm told the Starvis 2 helps with. On that note I was thinking of upgrading the old camera I have in the other car to a Mini 2 but just the rating makes me pause for a second & think would a nother v3 be better.
 
That's a good question. I have 2 of the v3 in vehicles and they've worked well for years. I need a 3rd one now and I was thinking I'd grab the mini 2 but it's 50CAD more and I'm not sure a 2k res is worth that.

Edit: Whoop, I have v2 units not v3 so I'm even more curious if it's worth the price differential.

If only because the Mini 2 has a better video sensor compared to the V2 and V3.
 
A119 Mini 2 it is a camera with problems (mine has problems and is the revised version) for this reason it has been replaced with the A119M Pro, in some markets the A119 Mini 2 is no longer imported.
 
The A119 Mini 2 has been on the market since May 2023 and is still in demand.
My two units have worked flawlessly since they were manufactured, and they continue to work flawlessly for my relatives.
I also know many satisfied users of this model.
So not all A119 Mini 2 have problems.

What problems are you having?
 
My A119s have worked well for 6 years and show no signs of slowing down so I ordered another one. I don't give a crap about wifi.
