My A119S has a very distinctive yellow, or butterscotch color, tint to the videos that the camera takes. Instead of a natural beige or light brown color, I see a strong yellow/butterscotch tint to it. Particularly noticeable with brown grass, yellow road stripes and some buildings. Tried to upload 2 videos to show what I'm talking about, but they are too large. Was wondering if anyone else has noticed this and what they did to correct. Thanks.

I've also observed an over saturation of yellows and browns under direct sunlight from the A119S's first firmware.
How is it now with the second firmware ?
I was about to try the firmware update, but the A119 stopped recording GPS data first. That was the last straw for me. Both of my brand new Viofos (A119 & A119S) stopped working when powered thru the GPS mount. Then the A119S stopped once when connected directly to the power cord and also had that yucky yellow tint. So when the other camera stopped picking up GPS data yesterday I decided to return them while the 30 day return policy was still in effect. Even with a refund, it was a horribly expensive mistake considering restocking charges and return shipping. Obviously I'm not a happy Viofo camper anymore despite all the great reviews those 2 cameras get. Since these were the first dash cameras I ever bought, I thought maybe it was me, which is why I posted so much looking for advice. I'm no engineer ... just an average Joe, but I have come to the conclusion there is a serious quality or design issue with Viofo's GPS mounts. Also bought a Thinkware at the same time for another vehicle, and that camera has worked flawlessly so far. Not for sure yet, but looking at Street Guardians to replace them. Maybe Opia2 if I can afford it.

If you bought it thru Amazon and returned it defective, no restocking fee. (30 day return) Also just to let you know that I own an A119S and A119 and see big improvements (firmware updates) overall especially in the A119S Video quality and never have I had any problems as what you explained. It's not exactly a yellow tint to the video. With the sun's rays falling at a certain angle, the colours of the buildings and sides of the road falling into the yellow-brown range get amplified.
Video from the new firmware looks a lot better.

The amplification of yellows and browns is still present but shouldn't matter, doesn't affect the footage from a dash cam perspective in any manner whatsoever. As trivial as it may be, I'm quite hopeful that VIOFO will take care of this with future firmware revisions.

While I personally found the yellow saturation on my videos objectionable, it was not the deciding factor. I was going to keep the camera and hope the firmware update resolved the situation (which it appears from these other posts that it most likely would) until the other one stopped working the GPS. I liked the seller I bought these cameras from, but am also carefully shopping around with other vendors now as much as I am comparing cameras. Live and learn I guess. Thanks for everyone's help.
