Disappointing, makes me think that the processor on the Redtiger can't handle two 4K streams at once so has to drop to 24fps. Also no HDR either and that tunnel test.
@rcg530 please explain what you foundDisappointing, makes me think that the processor on the Redtiger can't handle two 4K streams at once so has to drop to 24fps. Also no HDR either and that tunnel test.
Too many deal breakers in the F77 and makes me think that they hope people will just not pick up on it and buy it anyway, because it's 4k front and 4k rear as they market it
I didn't know you had an F77 on hand to confirm & verify. That is 30 fps on both, just bad frame timing on the Red Tiger.
If it really turns out to be 24fps I think we need to make room on @Mtz infamous list.24fps
It is not 24fps, definitely 30, but duplicating some frames, and the sensor appears to be running at slightly the wrong speed, at least some of the time. It may take RCG630 a while to document what it is doing. If it really turns out to be 24fps I think we need to make room on @Mtz infamous list.
He does, it's in is head lol.I didn't know you had an F77 on hand to confirm & verify.
The F77 footage is recorded at 30 fps. It appears to be some sort of buffer management issue (guess) causing the dropped/duplicated video frames. It looks like every second there’s something causing the dropping or duplicating of a video frame in the processing of the video frames from the image sensor (again guess). The first 20 seconds of the 3-minute video did not have any such problem and there were 30 unique frames every second.@rcg530 please explain what you found

I sent him raw footage and I believe he uses adobe premierI don't doubt your results, but am interested in which software tools you used for this testing.
Ben sent me a 3-minute video file from the F77. I use the ffprobe utility to examine the video file's metadata (video stream codec, bitrate and other metadata). As my first visual test, I use the MPC-BE video player to play the video on my Windows 11 laptop I use for video editing. If the dash camera company provides its own video player, I use the dash camera company's video player to see if the playback quality is any different compared to the MPC-BE video player. In this example, I used the Redtiger v1.4.2 video player for Windows.I don't doubt your results, but am interested in which software tools you used for this testing.

Has anyone tested with a Samsung T7 Shield here on DCT? May have seen someone mention it, but tossing up myself between getting that or something else like a Kingston for tests...I uploaded it 3 times. It was done. Then i forgot to add bluetooth remote.
Then i uploaded it and had doubts on a few videos.
