@Vueroid ... I noticed on the images for the S1 the dash cam has a LCD screen, however, in the Specifications it states no LCD.

Ohhh~~
It is not the specification of Vueroid S1 4K.....
looks like it is D21 4K...
Just checked it on our website and asked to fix it.

Thank you!!

Any anyone found where this camera is available? Looks very interesting to try out.
It was announced in early April for the launch, but unintentionally, I became a liar. We target to ship it from Korea in the middle of May, will reach to US early June.
I will keep here posted.

@Vueroid

Have you seen anything on other specs, such as time options for loop recordings? I would guess there is only one perhaps, as it seems the file system pre-allocates space, and I would guess the space allocated is driven by the length of the loop recording? Changing length of the video file would possible change the allocated space on the memory stick, and that could be an issue.
Wow~~! You have precise knowledge about the system.
We can make it an option to choose the video length, such as 1, 2, 3, 5, or 10 minutes; however, the file system should be reconstructed each time there is a change.
We encounter some cases like B2B and partnerships ( such as Racing Championship) where we modify the file system for their specific requirements and applications.

Noticed this on Vueroid Instagram today, shots fired at a certain competitor 🀣

And please see the color of the foremost part. It's turned much darker compared to the previous one. πŸ˜‰ @Voltex Radar

Finally someone list the lens angles properly.

View AngleFront - (D)165Β° x (H)125Β° x (V)62Β°
Rear - (D)139Β° x (H)101Β° Γ— (V)60Β°
Diagonal - Horizontal and Vertical, cant ask for more than that.

One negative though also one that is shared with just about any brand of dashcams, the rear camera seem to be not detachable / have a mount, so cleaning glass in front of it / around it, not as easy as it should be.
And any dashcam addict know clean glass on the inside too is paramount.
Sorry~~ the specification on the homepage will be amended soon. It's our fault. Please check the same after that.

Nice, I actually preferred the silver to make it a bit nicer looking. But I can understand that most people want all-black for discreteness

I mean what else is there to compete with currently?
No new image sensors.
Everyone is "stuck" with the IMX678.
Only way to be something special is to have stand out features.
If so, the performance and quality of a few models from different manufacturers should be the same.
The cars built on the same platform, with the same engine, tires, and body frame, cannot all be identical, as they tune the car's systems differently.
Smartphones: Some of the higher hardware specifications do not always result in higher performance consistently.
Hardware parts list may be identical, but the design of the PCB and housing, along with the software, including every configuration and algorithm, cannot be the same at all.

True about the optimisation each manufacturer brings to the table. It's a shame the rear camera sensor for the S1 is the IMX307, other competitors now have at least the IMX675 and potentially new OmniVision sensors...

Good point, although my post was a response to Kamkar's post, whatever specs Kamkar was quoting, right or wrong. I hadn't bothered to check what he was referring to, I was just pointing out what I think to be rather strange values.

Hopefully when Vueroid correct the specification, they will put the actual values in. And maybe the values are correct for the D21 anyway, maybe the D21 image is genuinely geometrically inaccurate, and maybe the new dashcam will be too.

Maybe @Panzer Platform needs to measure vertical and horizontal field of view in addition to horizontal? The diagonal might be a challenge...
It's not my role but I will check it and get back to you~!

The specification on our website was wrong. It will be updated soon. It is IMX675 for the rear camera and IMX307 for the Incabin IR camera.
Sorry for the confusion.

I came here today for the patent information about the file system. (TFF)
Some asked me the number to check.

I found it out registered in Korea but not USA. ( I asked my people to note all the contents to mention that the patent was registered in Korea only)
Will apply it in the USA too. But not sure it can be done since it was patented long ago in 2015 and 2020...
The latest one(2020)'s patent number is 10-2521016.

You can check the site to check.
The documents were written in Korean.... BTW.
Thank you~~

Yes, absolutely!
Now we see how all the manufacturer implement their version of the IMX678 sensor. Depending on the hardware and software, there will be differences how the camera will handle certain situations.

It's a game of who can get the best out of the IMX678.

It is IMX675 for the rear camera and IMX307 for the Incabin IR camera.
Can you use IMX675 for IR Interior as well, (no more 1080p cameras please lol)?
Can you make the rear & interior cable connector identical for maximum flexibility?
Identical cable connector for all remote cameras will promote flexibility if/when you support telephoto camera so any remote camera can be connected to any channel output on the front/main unit.

Not yet lol, price points still going down now that everyone is going to be using imx678 as front. For those that aren't doing imx675 as rear, looks like it'll be OmniVision the new one. Cabin camera wait a year or too til better sensors πŸ™
